Bom, eu participo do blog já faz um bom tempo, mas apenas como membro passivo (sem duplos sentidos, claro).
Enfim, chega a hora de eu tomar vergonha na cara e expor minhas idéias, sentimentos, sensações e sacações.

A Havaianas fará parte das comemorações do Ano da França no Brasil, que terá sua abertura oficial realizada na próxima terça-feira, 21 de abril, no Group F da lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas, Rio de Janeiro. Mais de 3 mil convidados assistirão ao espetáculo de fogos da abertura, intitulado "O encontro da água e do fogo", no camarote do estádio Remo da Lagoa, no qual as sandálias serão distribuídas com uma estampa exclusiva, com o logotipo oficial do evento criado por Phelippe Appeloig. (AF) 

Em 2005 foi o ano da Fraça no Brasil e agora é o vice-versa, muito legal essa idéia graças ao meu querido Gilberto Gil. Nós aqui do flat temos uma boa relação com a galera da França, que é "mui-loca" por sinal!

Música: Ten Years After (umas 17hs, na Patronato) e Nancy Sinatra (umas 22hs, no Mall Parque Arauco, em Las Condes)

Hoje acordei curtindo uma boa e velha gripe, depois de passar umas horas ontem de noite no topo do Cerro (morro?) San Cristóbal só de camiseta num puta frio.
Anyway, descobrimos a 25 de marco de Santiago, a Calle Patronato, e comprei umas coisinhas lá, pra comecar com o lado consumo da viagem. Além disso o dia teve alguns bons destaques e surpresas:
- Primeiro mergulho na culinária de rua do Chile: experimentei o aqui mundialmente famoso "Mote con Huesillo" (que me custou quase R$5,00!): Copao de plástico transparente com 1/3 de trigo cozido, 3 pessegos em calda e cheio até a borda de calda de pessego com água. Uma delícia! Bom, mais ou menos...
E mais: sandwich de frango com salada, queijo e abacate batido (isso mesmo!), e o melhor, do KFC! Isso sem falar no delicioso (esse bom mesmo) leite com banana.
Ai ai, tao perto, tao longe!
- Sugiro também conhecerem a casa e um pouco mais do aparentemente (pq ainda nao li muito) genial Pablo Neruda: a casa parece um barco por dentro e tem colecoes de tudo, até de proas de navios, conchas e etc.

Teatro do Absurdo

"Teatro do Absurdo foi um termo criado pelo crítico norte-americano Martin Esslin, tentando colocar sob o mesmo conceito obras de dramaturgos completamente diferentes, mas que tinham como centro de sua obra o tratamento de forma inusitada da realidade. É uma designação de peças escritas por um determinado número de dramaturgos europeus principalmente no final dos anos 1940, 1950, e 1960, bem como ao estilo de teatro que tem evoluído a partir de seu trabalho. É uma forma do teatro moderno que utiliza para a criação do enredo, das personagens e do diálogo elementos chocantes do ilógico, com o objetivo de reproduzir diretamente o desatino e a falta de soluções em que estão imersos o homem e sociedade. Traduzindo é uma forma de teatro diferente da convencional, onde a primeira vista parece uma peça sem muito sentido, ilógica, mas por trás elas trazem diversas mensagens filosóficas e do cotidiano das pessoas.

Uma das peças mais famosas chama-se Esperando Godot, ou em inglês Waiting for Godot. O significado dela: na verdade ninguém sabe quem é Godot, alguns dizem que pode ser God de Deus (pela peça ter sido escrita na época da 2 Guerra Mundial), ou algo que as pessoas passam a vida inteira esperando e sem saber o que é.

"Samuel Beckett escreveu a peça em 1948 e só veio a publicá-la no ano de 1952, em francês. Em 1955, ele mesmo publicou a versão escrita em inglês. O enredo baseia-se na falta de comunicação entre os personagens e na pausa do silêncio da espera de algo que não se resolve." (Wikipédia)

Restaurante y viñeria Facundo

Aniversário do meu irmao e eu aqui tao longe! Anyway, isso merece uma comemoracao, e eu a fiz com um bom jantar nesse restaurante aí em cima e um esquenta da balada no Décimo, um bar na cobertura do prédio mais alto de Mendoza, com terraco e vista panorâmica pros Andes e pras vinicolas de Merlot! Aliás, chic o esquema aqui, turismo de vinicolas e alpinismo!
E fiz uma loucura hoje que qualquer viajante minimamente viajado nunca faz: deixei minha bagagem na casa de uma mulher que conheci no bus. Gente fina, quase uma senhora, mas muito figura e inteligente. Falamos muito sobre política argentina e os truques da vida nas 14 horas de viagem entre Buenos Aires e Mendoza. Dna Carmen Rosa."

We're going, in this space, to have a shared post, where every body can add what are you reading at this moment. I know that some times we don't read that much and spend a long time without reanding anything. But i also know that aftert this period of mind recession we feel like eating 2, 3 or more books at the same time. 

I have no ideas if everybody here knows that, we hosts a lot of people in our lovely flat, and the only thing we request them to enjoy our space is to bring a book. Doesn't realy metter the content.

 The last 2 German girls brought us a book for german people who would like to learn french. FANTASTIC! The lovely girl from Alaska who's living in france for a wile gave us "The curious case of BENJAMIN BUTTON". Very nice.

So we can dicuss, gives and have information about books. Why not? 

I am now reading "The Wizard of Oz".

Bautifull. It brings magic to my bus jorney.

And I'm having a look in "Change your life with NLP".heheheh.

No momento eu to lendo O Mágico de Oz. Caraca eu não lembrava o quão bom era. E também to lendo Mude sua vida com NLP, muito bom. Todo mundo deveria ler.

Agora aqui vai ser uma coluna despretensiosa onde a gente vai poder postar o que ta lendo...e indicar e sugerir e comentar...

Não sei se eu ja falei que a gente aqui no flat hospeda pessoas, viajantes, afim de conhecer Londres, ou quem sabe até a morar, e o preço da estadia é um livro.

A galera aderiu ao movimento, e o melhor, ao espirito dele... As duas Alemanzinhas trouxeram um livro em Alemão para quem quer aprender frances. Incrivel meu. E agora neste fim de semana a nossa hospede do Alaska que ta morando na frança trouxe " O curioso caso de Benjamin Button". Mui loco...

Buenos Aires, com sua beleza ¨clássica¨ e meio mal conservada dos anos 30 ainda cheira Perón y Evita, Gardel y Santa Maria del Buen Aire.Hj estive tb no Congresso e conheci o vice-presidente num corredor do 1o. andar. Um episódio casual, claro, mas que mostra como a política e o poder sao coisas mais próximas.E tb conheci a Av. Corrientes de noite: según las chicas, és como que la Brodway argentina!¨

Fala brother! Blz meninão?

Só pra te avisar, eu até esperei vc e fiquei enrolando por aqui, mas como vc pelo jeito não vem tão cedo eu vou fazer isso eu mesmo: pego um bus domingo pra Buenos Aires e depois de alguns dias vou pro Uruguai, pro Chile (Santiago, Vale Nevado e Atacama), pra Bolívia (Uyuni, La Paz e outros picos), pra fronteira com o Peru (Lago Titicaca), pro Pantanal (Corumbá) e back home. Tudo de bus e em 9 dias!

Depois te mando as fotos, mas qq dica, comentário ou brother pelo caminho me avise!

Para aqueles que, como eu, sempre tem livros 'na fila' ou 'nao acabados'.

For those who, just like me, always have books 'to be read' or 'not finished yet'.  

Diz a lenda que Umberto Eco, dono de uma biblioteca particular de mais de 30 mil livros, separa seus visitantes em duas categorias: os que dizem "ual! Voce ja leu todos esses?" e os, rarissimos, que percebem que a biblioteca nao eh um afago para o ego, e sim uma ferramenta de pesquisa.

Livros lidos sao muito menos valiosos do que os nao lidos. Uma biblioteca deveria conter justamente o que voce nao sabe!
Com o tempo, e com quanto mais voce ler, mais e mais livros farao parte da biblioteca de desconhecimento, a "anti-biblioteca".

Tendemos a encarar nosso conhecimento como uma propriedade. Como algo que nos eleva em uma categoria qualquer.

He is the owner of a large personal library (containing thirty thousand books), and separates visitors into two categories: those who react with “Wow! How many of these books have you read?” and the others - a very small minority - who get the point that a private library is not an ego-boosting appendage but a research tool. Read books are far less valuable than unread ones. The library should contain as much of what you do not know as your financial means, mortgage rates, and the currently tight read-estate market allows you to put there. You will accumulate more knowledge and more books as you grow older, and the growing number of unread books on the shelves will look at you menacingly. Indeed, the more you know, the larger the rows of unread books. Let us call this collection of unread books an antilibrary.
We tend to treat our knowledge as personal property to be protected and defended. It is an ornament that allows us to rise in the pecking order. Here goes an amazing exemple from our yankees friends...

Zé Carioca was created during a Walt Disney studios tour in Brazil, Political interests related.

But it can also be a good reference for our friends who would like to inspire them selves in terms of creation. I gonna try to find who is the Art Director.  

Tai um belo exemplo de direção de arte que com certeza brilha nos estudios Disney. Tambem serve de Referencia para nossos amgos diretores de arte por ai...

 
Zé Carioca foi criado no começo da década de 40 pelos estúdios Walt Disney em uma turnê pela América Latina, que fazia parte dos esforços dos Estados Unidos para reunir aliados durante a Segunda Guerra Mundial (1939-1945). Houve um interesse político muito forte e com certeza não foi por acaso terem feito essa "homenagem" ao Brasil.

Os sons do protesto

Still about the G20 protests, now having a look from the perspective of a band that decided to join the masses and bring some music to the streets.

Ainda sobre os protestos contra o G20, agora vendo pela perspectiva de uma banda que se uniu as massas e levou um pouco de musica para as ruas.



Protest is a democratic right. Yet at last week's G20 protests – which I attended with my band the King Blues – the police made it as difficult as possible to exercise that right. Their intimidation tactics included using FIT photographers to capture images of protesters, showing up in riot gear and penning everyone in for hours without letting people go to the toilet or have water.

In the face of this clampdown on democracy, we wanted people to feel like they could dance on the streets again. That's why we took the King Blues sound system – a PA system on a tiny float wheeled by a rickshaw – down to the Saturday protest. The sound system was inspired by Emma Goldman's quote, "If I can't dance, it's not my revolution", and it has seen a fair bit of action in its time.

We weren't officially invited to play by any organisers. We just decided it's as much our march as anyone else's and set up our own space. It's not always easy playing at a protest – the mics cut out and the wind can make it sound haunted. Plus, walking while playing for so long means that an endless amount of things can go wrong. Midway through a speech about how the government cannot silence us anymore, my microphone cut out!

We cycled into the march playing the Dead Kennedys' Holiday in Cambodia at full blast to let people know where the sound was. They quickly gathered around and we set up our instruments – before a police officer threatened us that if we didn't move, he'd move us. Finally we were off and the reaction was amazing. Masses of people dancing around shouting, "The streets are ours!". It truly warmed the heart. We played Don't Let the Bastards Win while walking past the Ritz and Blood On My Hands outside Parliament. It all seemed scarily fitting.

We arrived in Hyde Park playing Let's Hang the Landlord and set up between the socialist speakers on the stage and the anarchist speakers' corner. Speeches are all well and good, but some people had already made their minds up and just wanted to dance, which is where we came in. Mateyboy from the Kooks was on stage playing his latest hit for an uninterested audience over on the main stage, while our ragtag army with hoods up and bandanas over their faces danced around us, drinking cider and recruiting for Wednesday's protests. By the time we'd started DJing the whole thing felt like a Hackney squat party at 4am.

When our battery finally ran out – with no warning – there was a massive groan from the crowd. But at least everyone had a good end to the day. We pushed the soundsystem back to the van, escorted by two police meatwagons. They found it hilarious driving right into the back of us and beeping their horn. Whatever – we'd already won the day.

It was a real endurance test but we finally made it back to Tottenham feeling knackered and victorious. People came together, which is empowering. It felt like maybe the protest movement had kicked off again. This week has truly put protesting back at the centre of politics, and we're pleased we got to do our bit.

Disgusting.

At the City of Money, the city of midia and closed circuit televisions, the city of empty people and streets. Where idiots wave £10 notes from their windows and find fun in everything going on down there. Where the police fights againts protesters of a cause they've no idea about.

01:50 ClimateCamp Twitter reports "Street empty. They beat us out and squashed our tents. But oh what a world we created! Shame on the powers that be."

01:50: Police report 87 arrests.

01:20 Reports that Climate Camp has been evicted by police - people pushed back and beaten, wondering how to retrieve their belongings.

01:10 - Police pulling people out of Climate Camp from southern perimeter.

00:30 - Climate Camp participants have been making speeches to the police about why they have been taking action today.

00:20 - Reports from Climate Camp of police using boltcutters to dismantle the bike barricade whilst there is now nothing to stop them coming in from the North. People just sang Happy Birthday en masse to a girl despite police at either end.

Earlier reports of riot police beating peaceful people at Southern end of Climate Camp, following fun Celidh dance at southern perimiter. People thinking the police will let them leave if they wish.

23:55 Climate Camp - Police are now moving from south to north pushing people out of the space occupied by the climate camp, and it's clearing out fast.  About 500 people are left at this point.

23:45 - Peole are still being pursued and were last seen turning in Shoreditch High Street towards Hackney.

23:28 - Climate Camp: Crowd pushed past Liverpool Street as a group are chased at speed pursued by police dogs and vans. At least one arrest.

23:20 - Reports from Climate Camp of police beating people back away from Southern perimiter towards Liverpool Street.

23:18 - Climate Camp: Letting people out from South side opposite Liverpool St. Lots of police charging, Bottles being thrown from outside camp towards charging cops

22:48 - About 2000 people in Climate Camp Kettle, police want to impose a section 14 and ID everyone. They're looking to force people out through the North two at a time. There are police massing at the South End, Due to the amount of campers that does currently not seem feasible.

22:36 - Mainstream Media report that a man collapsed and died at the protest. We have not yet been able to confirm this.

22:20 - Climate Camp: Up to a thousand people remain inside the besiged camp. The police have said that they will allow people to leave, but will take names and addresses of everyone who does so. There's been a camp meeting but no consensus has been reached on what to do. Generally there is still a positive atmosphere amonst the peaceful demonstrators.

21:35 - Climate Camp: A photographer was taken to one side by police and threatened under anti-terror legislation that he was not allowed to take pictures of police "engaged in their duty." Police confiscated his camera and attempted to delete all the photographs he'd taken.  The photographer pulled out another camera to film them doing this, and was threatened again, but police then returned the first camera.

21:27 - Climate Camp: the riot police have marched through the sit-down protest without attacking and reinforced the cop cordon on the north side of the climate camp.  There are now 3 lines of cops there.

21:19 - Climate Camp: on the north side of the climate camp, outside the kettle, 100 riot police are lining up and looking as if they will attack/evict the peaceful demonstrators.

G20 - [Report first day] Ingles/Portugues

My Point of view based on things that I saw during this day of protests.

I have to admit that it was my first time in an important movement like this.
Amazing, I would say...
Been there in the middle of the crowd, screaming, and facing the power of the police against me, and they feeling like catching me or even punch me, there is no words to explain how I felt.
I wasn`t there fighting for an ideology, or even against the capitalism or whatever it is... I was there because as communication worker I really care about the future of nations, environmental issues, natural resources and economy decisions. I was there because I believe that some important decisions are going to be decided. So, with the high numbers of manifestation around London I think somebody and somehow they gonna listen us... and they main idea that everybody is trying to say is: Put the People first.
And I think that if we have somebody to represent us as "Brazilians" in the G20, I had to, at least, scream one: Vai toma no cu tranquilo to them. And I did!
I went to 2 big events and walked around Bank and Trafalgar square. I realize that lots of people were there just to take pictures, others just to drink beers and other two mustache guys just to release them young spirit of revolutionary. I am not but, when we are child we dream a bit. Whatever, the situation in bank, the place wich has the tube station closed was a little tense. The police was building a oppressive against the people who was in the square and making them separate from the rest of the crowd around. this was the reach of the peak of the stress In there. The most yelled verse was against the stupid police force, and if that people had something to say, they were silent by the power.
The second one were peaceful and it was about Gaza stripe and it was in Trafalgar square, known as a point of freedom of speaking. People in there were not violent as they were talking about waste of money in war instead of education and setting work for refugees and people from that place wich is complete destroyed. I think it gonna be discussed in the G20`s meeting.
Tomorrow we will cover the situation again… Ok, today… I’m on the TV now and I will stay here till late in the night. And I really want to thanks Filipe and Coxa by the supporting in earth and Lucca by the supporting in the war.

O meu ponto de vista baseado em coisas que eu vi durante este dia de protestos.

Tenho que admitir que foi a minha primeira vez, em um movimento importante como este. Surpreendente, eu diria
Estando la no meio da multidão, gritando, e enfrentando o poder da polícia, e eles querendo bater , não há palavras para explicar como me senti.
Não estava lá lutando por uma ideologia, ou mesmo contra o capitalismo, ou seja o que for ... Eu estava lá porque eu como um profissional da comunicacao se preocupa com o futuro das nações, questões ambientais, recursos naturais e decisões economicas. Eu estava lá porque eu acredito que algumas importantes decisões vão ser decididas. Então, com o elevado número de manifestações em redor de Londres e acho que alguém de alguma maneira vai nos ouvir ... e eles principal ideia que todo mundo tenta dizer é: Coloque o povo em primeiro lugar.
E acho que, se temos alguém para nos representar como "brasileiros" no G20, eu tenho, pelo menos, gritar um: Vai toma nenhuma cu tranquilo para eles. E eu fiz!
Eu fui a 2 grandes eventos em Bank e Trafalgar Square. Sei que muitas pessoas estavam lá só para tirar fotos, outros apenas para beber cervejas e outros dois malucos de bigode apenas para libertar o espirito de jovem revolucionário. Eu não sou, mas, quando somos crianças sonhamos um pouco. Seja como for, a situação em Bank, o lugar que teve a estação de metro fechado foi um pouco tensa. A polícia estava construindo uma opressão contra o povo que estava na praça a um modo de separadas do resto da multidão ao redor. este foi o pico do estresse lá. O que mais se gritava era contra a estupidez da polícia, e se as pessoas tinham algo a dizer, eles foram calados pelo poder da porrada.
O segundo foi pacífico e que era sobre Faixa de Gaza e foi em Trafalgar Square, conhecida como um ponto de liberdade de expressão. As pessoas lá não eram violentas. Falando do desperdício de dinheiro na guerra em vez de educação e trabalho para refugiados pessoas com a vida destruida pela guerra. Acho que vai ser discutido isso tambem na reunião do G20.
Amanhã vamos cobrir a situação de novo ... Bom, hoje ... Eu estou na TV agora e vou ficar aqui até tarde da noite. E eu quero agradecer ao Filipe e ao Coxa e pelo apoio em terra e Lucca e Thulio pelo apoio na guerra.

As coisas ficaram relativamente pacificas no Climate Camp, com os acampados cercados pela policia mas dispostos a ficar por ali a noite inteira ate 12:30 amanha.

15:20 - Climate Camp: Still going Strong, over 2000 people and 150 tents, described as a hugely impressive infrastructure. There are theatre performances, compost toilets, a medical tent, a couple of working kitchens, with many people picnicing there. The camp has been attracting passers by and city workers. There are police lines on iether side of the camp but people are allowed in and out. Plenty of dancing and banners across the street.
